*You can buy the pre-made teriyaki sauce at the grocery store to make this dish or make fresh teriyaki sauce at home!
Instructions:
- Prep the salmon filets. Pat dry and season the salmon filets with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Pre-mix the teriyaki sauce. Combine all the ingredients listed above.
- On medium heat, add oil to a frying pan. Add in the salmon filets. Flip and cook all sides until golden crisp and then remove from the pan and set aside.
- In another pan, add in the teriyaki sauce mix. Add ¼ cup of water mixed with 3 tsp of cornstarch. Cook until sauce thickens, and you will have homemade teriyaki sauce.
- Pour the teriyaki sauce to a bowl, leaving about 1-2 tbsp of teriyaki sauce in the pan. Add in some oil, throw in the broccolini. Sauté for a minute. Add salt & pepper.
- Now enjoy your salmon teriyaki with steamed rice, and a side of sautéed broccolini! Garnish with sesame seeds (optional).
Side notes:
- For better taste, blanch the broccolini before sautéing.
