I learned this shrimp taco recipe from Karrueche Tran awhile back, and I’ve been making it ever since. Easy to make and super tasty. I’ll share the recipes with you!
Ingredients:
- 1 lb of Shrimp (cut into 3 pieces or half inch)
- 2 cups of Onions (diced)
- 2 cups of Tomatoes (diced)
- 1 cup of Cilantro (chopped)
- ½ cup of Green Onions
- 1-2 Limes
- 2-3 Avocados
- Fresh salsa
- Onion powder
- Old Bay Seasoning
- Sour Cream
- Mexican style four cheese
- White corn tortillas
- Regular oil
- Olive oil
Instructions:
- Remove the head and devein the shrimps. Wash the shrimp under cold water and then cut the shrimps evenly into 3 pieces or about ½ to an inch.
- Add the shrimps to a bowl and seasoned with old bay seasoning and onion powder. Mix well together.
- Prep the vegetables. Diced 2 cups of onions, 2 cups of tomatoes, 1 cup of cilantro and ½ cup of green onions.
- On medium heat, add olive oil to a pan. Add 1 cup of diced onions, 1 cup of diced tomatoes, and ½ cup of cilantro. Sauteed for 1-2 minutes.
- Add in the shrimp and mix everything together. Stir evenly and cook until the shrimps turn orange. Then remove from the heat and set aside.
- In another pan, add in some regular oil. Fry the white corn tortillas to make a crispy taco shell. Fold the tortillas and fry until your desired crispiness.
- To make fresh guacamole. Smash up 2-3 avocadoes, and season it with onion powder, salt and pepper. Add in the diced onions, diced tomatoes, chopped cilantro and green onions. Mix everything together.
- To assemble the tacos, add guacamole, cooked shrimp, and sour cream. Garnish with cilantro, shredded Mexican 4 cheese, and salsa. Enjoy!
